If it is possible to wait and you are not going to travel, then it is better that those who are going away now really get a new passport, says Mats Scherp, local police area manager in Örebro.

At the passport office in Örebro, the waiting time is currently several weeks and is now planned for increased opening hours.
- We will have increased opening hours week 21 and 22. Then we will have Saturday open between 9 am and 2 pm, that is what is planned right now.
Then we will see how it develops if we need to do more.
Limited capacity
Even if it brightens, the pandemic is still going on, which limits passport management.
- We can not have the same flow and not as many people in the reception, so we can not let go as many times, says Scherp.
