The hard-discount chain Lidl is launching a competition in Ireland to offer a customer the chance to win a night in one of its stores.

The winner will have the right to choose the person of his choice to accompany him during this unusual experience.

The winner and their guest will first have exclusive access to the store after it closes.

The duo will then have the right to a dinner prepared by a chef using ingredients taken from the store's stalls as well as a wine tasting.

Finally, guests will enjoy a beauty treatment followed by a film on the big screen, before going to bed in a large bed with “soft sheets and pillows” installed in the middle of the supermarket.

“What better way to relax than to walk down an aisle of a Lidl store, tasting our special summer range and sipping fresh award-winning wines,” said the Managing Director of Lidl Ireland.

Through this competition, the brand wants to show its customers behind the scenes of a store, many consumers having expressed a certain curiosity at this level.
