It was on 9 February 2020 that a riot broke out in an arrest in Norrbotten after a drunk person was arrested.

The patrol had pulled out on an illegal threat and the arrest must have taken place undramatically.

A riot broke out in the arrest

But things, both figuratively and literally, went awry when you came to the arrest.

Among other things, the detainee is said to have taken off a shoe and thrown it away and met the policeman in writing.

The detainee must then have continued to verbally insult the police and in connection with this, the police officer must have handed out a "powerful kick" to the detainee who was lying down and was drunk.

Probably fired - the daily fine is halved

The district court sentenced the police for assault with a suspended sentence and a daily fine of a total of SEK 25,500.

The Court of Appeal upholds the verdict and states that the dismissal was unjustified and unjustifiable with regard to the situation in general.

On the other hand, the size of the daily fine is halved to SEK 12,000.

The Court of Appeal has received statements from the Police Authority that most of the evidence is that the employee was fired in sentencing.

Police claim distraction violence

The policeman himself has denied the crime and explained that the dismissal constituted a so-called "distraction violence to avert a potentially dangerous situation".
