Malian Prime Minister Moctar Ouane, reappointed, continued on Tuesday, May 18, consultations for the formation of the future government.

A delegation from the old majority and civil society were received.

The M5-RFP, a political movement which participated in the downfall of former President IBK and which is very critical of the transition, has gone in dispersed ranks.

Thus, the Union for the Republic and Democracy (URD), the main party of the M5, announced to the Prime Minister its firm desire to support him in the formation of the new team.

With our correspondent in Bamako,

The delegation of the Union for the Republic and Democracy (URD), the main formation of the M5, was led by its president.

Rather warm atmosphere.

The party of the late Soumaïla Cissé first officially congratulated Prime Minister Moctar Ouane on his reappointment as head of government.

The URD then called for the establishment of an inclusive government before declaring itself available for the rest of the events.

Discussions

Inside the party, we no longer hide it.

If the Prime Minister proposes the entry of executives of the Union for the Republic and Democracy in the future government, on the other hand, a fringe of the M5 led by another figure, Dr. Choguel Maïga, is not, for the moment , unwilling to "cross the Rubicon".

They told the prime minister.

Discussions will likely continue.

Several other political groups have marked, after the meeting with the Prime Minister, their agreement to be part of the open government.

According to our information, in the new team, the Prime Minister and the transitional president, Bah N'Daw, also want the entry of several personalities from civil society.

Strike

In addition, it is the second day of strike action by the National Union of Workers of Mali (UNTM), a movement also followed in Bamako and in the interior of the country.

But the bankers have decided to ease the movement.

From this Wednesday, for example, bank cash dispensers will be supplied and transfers and salary transfers made.
