This Tuesday, Emmanuel Macron announced his decision to maintain the France 4 channel by posting a tweet indicating "I wish France 4 to continue its mission".

Three months after leaving BFM TV, Ruth Elkrief made her first appearance on LCI this Wednesday for two dates.

She will question the Minister of Health, Olivier Véran, this Wednesday morning.

The NGO Reporters Without Borders is launching a new tool to fight disinformation, a platform called "Journalism Trust Initiative" intended for the media.

On the front page, France 4 is saved.

It was through a tweet that we learned about it this late Tuesday afternoon.

A message sent by the President of the Republic: "I wish France 4 to continue its mission", writes Emmanuel Macron.

France 4 was to stop next summer, a stop that had already been postponed by a year, last year, thanks or because of the confinement.

Since May 1 and the arrival of Culture Box on France 4, the channel's evenings are cultural.

The idea was to allow artists to play, while the rooms were closed, but they reopen this Wednesday.

The audiences of France 4 are declining, the audience share has been halved in five years.

The merger announced on Monday between TF1 and M6 poses many problems, especially in terms of advertising.

The two groups represent 70% of the advertising market.

Fusion always, the movement accelerates in the world of the media.

In the United States, in particular. After the merger between WarnerMedia and Discovery, Amazon is entering the game. The digital giant is negotiating the takeover of one of Hollywood's biggest studios, MGM (which produces the James Bonds in particular). The sum mentioned revolves around nine billion dollars or seven billion euros.

Ruth Elkrief's return to TV this Wednesday.

First appearance on LCI, three months after leaving BFM TV.

And two meetings for the journalist who, too, will support the reopening of the terraces and more generally the first phase of deconfinement.

She will question the Minister of Health, Olivier Véran, this Wednesday morning.

And tonight, she will host a special evening from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.

A very stimulating but also very stressful return for Ruth Elkrief.

The journalist will intervene on the news channel from time to time until September, for special operations or events, before having a daily meeting at the start of the school year.

A platform called “Journalism Trust Initiative” ... It is intended for the media. It should enable them to obtain certification, a sort of proof that their information production process is reliable and of high quality and that these media are therefore trustworthy for the public. To obtain this certification, the media applicants must meet 130 criteria: transparency (financial, on shareholders in particular), editorial independence, journalistic and ethical methods. etc. Once obtained, the certification can be used in particular to be put forward on platforms like Facebook or Google, the algorithms would promote certified, trustworthy media. One way to fight against disinformation. The platform has already been tested by around fifty international media including AFP and France Télévisions, in France.
