9 consecutive earthquakes in Dali, Yunnan, multiple houses damaged, no casualties

　　China News Service, Kunming, May 19th. The Press Office of the People's Government of Yangbi County, Dali Prefecture, Yunnan Province issued a notice on the 19th. From 18:49 on the 18th to 7:9 on the 19th, 9 consecutive incidents occurred near Xiuling Village, Cangshanxi Town, Yangbi County. There was an earthquake with a maximum magnitude of 4.2.

A total of 108 households were affected to varying degrees, with no casualties.

　　According to the report, from 18:49:30 on May 18 to 7:9:6 on May 19, near Xiuling Village, Cangshan West Town, Yangbi County (99.93 degrees east longitude, 25.66 degrees north latitude; 99.92 degrees east longitude, 25.65 degrees north latitude ), 5 consecutive earthquakes with a magnitude of 2.0-2.9, 3 earthquakes with a magnitude of 3.0-3.9, and 1 earthquake with a magnitude of 4.0-4.9 occurred.

　　As of 9:30 on the 19th, 108 households in 5 townships including Cangshanxi Town, Taiping Township, Pingpo Town, Yangjiang Town, and Fuheng Township had been affected to varying degrees in the county. Most of the damage to their houses was wall cracks and tiles. The direct economic loss was approximately RMB 1.11 million due to earthquakes, slight cracks in the walls, and cracks in the floor. There were no casualties.

　　After the earthquake, Yangbi County quickly initiated the Level IV response to the earthquake emergency plan in Yangbi County, and prepared for the Level III response.

The main officials of the county party committee and the county government led a team to investigate hidden dangers in schools, hospitals, prisons, reservoirs, roads and bridges, and key projects under construction.
