Mobility The five resurrections of tourism: this is how the sun and sand face the summer of recovery
Guided visits, sports activities, health and wellness services, tourist accommodation ... These are the activities subject to
offered by the
Community of Madrid
who visit the region from the
second half of the year
. The regional government will make tourist vouchers available to travelers with discounts of
up to 50%
, which translates into
600 euros per person
. The recipients of this offer will be tourists from the country who choose hotel accommodations or travel agencies in the region.
Through this initiative, each person will be able to request
a voucher per month
, during the validity of the program, and will have a
period of 10 days
from downloading it to redeem it. Another advantage of this proposal is that the payment of the amounts to the establishments and travel agencies will be done within a month, in order to avoid damage to them. Taking into account that most of them are SMEs, they would have to finance the bonds, as is the case in other autonomies.
The Community of Madrid will present

, which were created with the aim of recovering the tourist impulse in the region after the pandemic. Another of its proposals is the new brand and concept of the international tourist region
, whose objective is that international visitors clearly understand what the tourist offer of the community as a whole, beyond the city of Madrid, means: its geographical environment, its cultural and natural heritage, as well as all the quality tourist products available.
Within this strategy of seeking new markets, the regional Executive will also promote
, which proposes to position Madrid as a luxury destination and a European leader in wedding planning.
This program is especially aimed at the North American market and refers to weddings celebrated away from the couple's residence.
NEW TOURISM WEB PORTAL AND OTHER CAMPAIGNS
Taking advantage of the celebration of FITUR, in which the Community is the main sponsor, the regional government will also present the new
Tourism web portal
, which improves the user experience, so that you can more easily find what you are looking for and spend more time in the page; accessibility for people with functional diversity; the positioning in the main search engines, and the navigability of the page.
Likewise, the Community of Madrid is developing other actions to promote the region as a tourist attraction, such as
Together for Flamenco
, with a wide program of theater, dance and exhibitions. It is a tourist and cultural promotion action that highlights the art of flamenco through the tablaos of Madrid and that will also feature thematic tourist routes through Madrid flamenco.
Also, during this month of May, the Community is committed to local tourism with the special Spring edition of the
, with 104 recitals by 53 bands in 17 municipalities in the region. The scene of these concerts are the squares, corners and spaces of municipalities such as Bustarviejo, Chinchón, Colmenar de Oreja, Lozoya, Pelayos de la Presa, Villarejo de Salvanés, Alcalá de Henares, Alcobendas or Aranjuez.

The occupancy of rural accommodation in Madrid's Sierra Norte has averaged between 80% and 90% during the last weekends, and the sector expects this trend to continue almost completely.
