According to Taran, recent events in Israel have proven the need for a missile defense system in Ukraine.
He stated that Israel's Iron Dome is "one of the finest examples of missile defense."
The minister also said that in Ukraine last year they began "certain actions to create an anti-missile defense."
“We are considering the possibility of acquiring something like the Iron Dome,” said Taran.
Earlier, the Israel Defense Forces reported that 3440 rockets were fired from the Gaza Strip since May 10 at Israeli cities. According to the Israeli army, the Iron Dome air defense system intercepted about 90% of the shells.
