“The United States strongly condemns the recent anti-Semitic comments of President Erdogan regarding the Jewish people, we find these comments disgusting,” RIA Novosti Price quoted as saying.
According to him, the United States is calling on President Erdogan and other Turkish leaders "to refrain from inciting discord that could catalyze further violence."
“We call on Turkey to join the United States in working to end the conflict,” Price added.
He did not specify what specific statements of Erdogan he had in mind.
Earlier, Erdogan said that he was cursing the Austrian government after the flags of Israel were raised on the buildings of Austrian federal departments.
