- There can be up to 30 percent lower vaccination coverage in certain areas, says Jonas Almgren, vaccine coordinator in Jönköping County.

At Öxnehaga, Råslätt and Österängen in Jönköping, up to 40 percent of the inhabitants between the ages of 55 and 69 had been vaccinated until the beginning of May.

This can be compared with, for example, Habo, which was close to 80 percent.

The problem is not unique to Jönköping County.

In the past, the Swedish Public Health Agency has also pointed to a lower proportion of people vaccinated among foreign-born people, despite the fact that this group has been hit harder by the pandemic.

Have you done enough to reach these people?

- We are not ready yet.

Paying attention to the difference is part of working with this, says Jonas Almgren and emphasizes the work of the health communicators.

At the same time, there are residential areas, with more foreign-born in the county, where vaccination coverage is higher.

For example, at Runneryd in Nässjö, where half of the residents between the ages of 55 and 69 have so far taken the syringe.
