The survey also shows that despite the fact that housing construction has increased in many municipalities, it is still difficult for, among others, young people, students, new arrivals, the elderly and the disabled to find or change housing.
Most municipalities expect housing construction in multi-family houses to increase by next year.
The exceptions here are: Ödeshög, Ydre, Kinda and Valdemarsvik.
Regarding housing construction in detached houses, the majority of municipalities also expect an increase by 2022. Except for Valdemarsvik, Norrköping and Vadstena, which forecast for the same level in 2022 as in 2021. Gotland, Söderköping and Linköping believe in a decrease.
