This was reported by the Associated Press, citing a source familiar with the negotiations between the United States and Israel.

It is noted that US President Joe Biden, during a conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, called on the Israeli leadership to stop strikes on the Gaza Strip.

In addition, high-ranking representatives of the American administration made similar requests to their Israeli colleagues.

According to them, "in the conditions of the escalation of the conflict, time is playing against Israel, and it is in its interests to wind down the operation as soon as possible."

According to the source of the agency, "representatives of the Israeli side indicated that there is a possibility that their military campaign will end within a few days."

Earlier, the Chief of the General Staff of the Israel Defense Forces Aviv Kochavi said that the operation in the Gaza Strip will continue as long as necessary.
