Since noon this Monday, the lists of candidates for the regional elections have been officially submitted to the prefecture and are closed.

In Brittany, the ballot scheduled for June 20 and 27 promises to be rather open, in particular because of the multiplication of candidatures.

Eleven lists are known but thirteen would have been deposited in the region, in the hands of the Socialist Party since the election of Jean-Yves Le Drian in 2004. His successor, Loïg Chesnais-Girard, intends to continue his mandate started in 2017 and has raked wide to concoct a list full of surprises.

But he is not the only one to have offered himself a few candidates who stand out.

Here are a few.

Macron's feather

He had met Gérard Collomb for his first steps in politics.

Since 2015, Jonathan Guémas has become one of the feathers of President Emmanuel Macron.

Aged 33, he joined the list of "We Brittany" led by Thierry Burlot, candidate supported by La République en Marche and former ally of outgoing President Loïg Chesnais-Girard.

Originally from Bédée, in Ille-et-Vilaine, the man is one of the few to write President Macron's speeches, in a very tight team.

Kersauson's brother

Florent de Kersauson is a longtime friend of the Le Pen family.

No wonder then, to find it prominently on the list of the National Gathering led by Gilles Pennelle.

The businessman is at the top of the list in Morbihan, the native department of Jean-Marie Le Pen where his daughter visits regularly.

Brother of the navigator Olivier de Kersauson, the candidate presented himself as one of the founders of the Route du Rhum.

An assertion denied by the company Penduick, organizer of the transatlantic race, which recalled that justice had pronounced against Florent de Kersauson.

Several browsers are present on the other lists.

Roland Jourdain will again be alongside Chesnais-Girard and Anne Quéméré has signed up with Daniel Cueff.

TV star

It is undoubtedly the best known of all the candidates.

Placed in 14th position on Daniel Cueff's list in the Côtes d'Armor, Lucie Lucas is not yet in a position to be elected.

Star of the

Clem

series of

which she is the main heroine, the 35-year-old mother left the Paris region to come and settle in Brittany on an ecological farm.

Engaged alongside the anti-pesticide mayor of Langouët Daniel Cueff, the actress wishes to campaign for the defense of the climate and has already been critical of the policy led by President Macron.

Former Michelin-starred chef Olivier Roellinger is also on the list.

The boss of the pâté and a red cap

In lack of notoriety, the socialist president Loïg Chesnais-Girard managed to complete a list of very large gathering.

The former mayor of Liffré, near Rennes, convinced the founder of the Trans Musicales festival Béatrice Macé, or the boss of the pâté company Loïc Hénaff to join him.

Even more surprising is the rallying of former Bonnets Rouges leader Christian Troadec.

Candidate in 2015, the mayor of Carhaix offers a "regionalist" fiber to his head of the list.

The tireless railway worker

Once again !

Already a candidate in 2010 and 2015 where she obtained 1.5% of the vote, Valérie Hamon will defend the colors of Lutte Ouvrière for the third time in the regional on June 20.

The railway worker is also used to running for all municipal elections in Rennes since 2004. His credo?

"Drive out the notables and the capitalists".

"We are the ones who run the company, so it's normal that our voice is heard," she said.
