    1. End of vaccination prioritization

The prioritization will be canceled on June 7th.

The federal government is confident, but the conditions for a relaxed summer have not yet been met.

    Tourism:

There will be no more prioritization for corona vaccinations from June 7th. This was announced by Federal Health Minister Jens Spahn (CDU) after a decision by the heads of the federal and state departments. Until then, 15 million vaccinations are planned for people at special risk. Spahn said the prioritization was epidemiologically necessary. “That wasn't bureaucracy, it saved human lives.” Spahn also asked for patience. The vaccinations would continue well into the summer.

    Progress:

More than 40 million corona vaccinations have been administered in Germany. 30.7 million people received the first vaccination, 37 percent of the population. More than 9.3 million people are fully vaccinated. That's a good eleven percent. Government spokesman Steffen Seibert said the daily falling number of new infections and the ongoing vaccination campaign could make one confident. But: "We have not yet achieved the conditions to enjoy a summer as relaxed as last year." A year ago, the seven-day incidence was five.

    Relaxation:

The CDU chairman Armin Laschet sees the time to relax the protective conditions.

He said: "We have always made the promise to the citizens: If the incidence figures fall, encroachments on fundamental rights must be withdrawn." This point in time is "here now".

The fact that the federal states proceed differently has to be accepted in view of the different pandemic situation in the individual countries.

Laschet called for vaccinations for children and adolescents to be made possible.

"Our task in politics is now to focus more on children and young people."

    2. More fears in children and adolescents

There is more depression and self-harm in children and adolescents.

    Physical abilities are lost.

But there will be no generation with “defects”, says the psychiatrist Michael Huss.

    Increase:

In children and adolescents, internalizing disorders such as depression, fears, but also self-harm increased during the pandemic.

That said the psychiatrist Michael Huss of the FAZ Huss runs two clinics for child and adolescent psychiatry.

Many children suffered from fear of the future and a lack of prospects, in addition to physical ailments such as diffuse tiredness, pain and listlessness.

    Loss:

According to Huss, many children and young people have lost physical abilities. Associated with this is the emotional development. “During puberty, teenagers have strong emotional fluctuations and they have to learn to regulate them. They usually do this through exercise, meeting friends, sometimes alcohol or nightly computer games. But now they are permanently under social control and can no longer try things out. ”In the pandemic, children would hardly have room to rebel.
