Today, Monday, the Islamic Jihad Movement announced the martyrdom of the commander of its military wing, the "Jerusalem Brigades," the North Gaza Brigade, in an Israeli air strike.

The movement said in a statement, "We mourn the fighter Hussam Abu Harbeed (37 years), the commander of the Al-Quds Brigades in the North Gaza Brigade," explaining that he was martyred "during his movement between the fields of jihad and the frontiers of confrontation and the follow-up of the resistance operations" in the northern Gaza Strip.

For its part, the Israeli army said in a statement that it had targeted - in cooperation with the "Shin Bet" intelligence service - the commander of the Northern Brigade in the Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement, Abu Harbeed.

According to the statement, Harbid directed and directed missile launches at Israel and operations targeting its forces, and was responsible for carrying out several attacks with Kornet missiles, the last of which was targeting an Israeli car about a week ago and wounding a person inside.

The killing of Abu Harbeed is likely to provoke a violent reaction on the part of the movement in the midst of violent battles between Israel and the Palestinian factions in the Strip, including the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas).
