The David deer at Eriksberg have got 14 new calves.

The newborns look alert and prosperous and are welcomed to the herd by both the animals and the staff in the park.

- We have never had so many calves before and we are naturally happy about the positive development that shows that the animals are well, says Per-Arne Olsson, who is CEO of Eriksberg.

The deer of David have previously been free-living and the hope is that they will be able to be so again in the future.
