The widow of the Soviet intelligence officer Kim Philby, Rufina Pukhova-Philby, died in Moscow at the age of 88. This is reported by TASS with reference to a member of the Human Rights Council and the capital's POC Eva Merkacheva, who is familiar with Pukhova-Philby.
“Rufina Pukhova-Philby passed away after a long illness at the age of 89.
She survived her husband for 33 years, ”said Merkacheva.
She noted that Pukhova-Philby would be buried at the Troekurovsky cemetery.
In March, Colonel-General Vitaly Margelov, former deputy head of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service, passed away in Moscow.
