It was on Sunday evening that the rescue service received an alarm that a restaurant boat was sinking at Ytterholmen in the Skellefteälven river.

- The boat is on the bottom, and we have notified the owner, says at the rescue service at 21 o'clock to the newspaper Norran.

Fredrik Johansson is the new owner of the restaurant fleet and had planned to start preparing it for the summer soon.

Open he still thinks.

- This got boring with some extra work, he states.

New setback for the raft

Too much snow and bad ice have previously taken a toll on the restaurant raft.

Just over ten years ago, half the raft sank after ice crept into the pontoons.

Now it's a similar problem.

- Flowing water has entered the pontoons, we will take a closer look at it tomorrow and try to do something, says the owner Fredrik Johansson.

The fleet has previously been at the quay next to Bryggarbacken in Skellefteå.

Last year, the pandemic put up with it and it was never launched.

See in the clip how the raft now stands at the bottom of the river.
