The mass demonstrations toured about 40 Moroccan cities today, Sunday, in support of Palestine and condemning the Israeli aggression on Gaza, which has continued for a week, and the violations of the occupation in Jerusalem, including the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood, in addition to the violations and incursions that took place against the Al-Aqsa Mosque recently.

Al-Jazeera correspondent in Rabat, Mukhtar Al-Ablawi, reported that the largest demonstrations took place in the center of the capital, specifically in front of the parliament, where hundreds gathered to protest and support Palestine.

He explained that the protests are attended by Moroccans of different political spectrums and ages, men, women and children, in response to a call launched by the Moroccan Front to support Palestine and against normalization.

The correspondent pointed out that the issue is not related to Rabat alone, but demonstrations took place in Marrakesh, Tangiers, Fez, Meknes, Safi, Beni Mellal and dozens of other Moroccan cities, where these demonstrations were organized simultaneously to denounce the Israeli attacks and violations against the Palestinians and the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The Moroccan Front for Supporting Palestine and Against Normalization launched a call to organize a national day of solidarity with the Palestinian people against aggression today, Sunday, with the participation of more than 15 Moroccan social, political, advocacy, human rights, trade union and association organizations. About 40 cities responded to this call.

The Unification and Reform Movement - which is close to the Justice and Development Party - called on all popular bodies supporting the cause of Palestine to unify efforts to carry out all activities and activities in support of the gift of the Palestinian people, foremost of which is the organization of a popular national march in which Moroccans express their support for the rights of the Palestinian people and their rejection of the Zionist occupation.

The correspondent mentioned that there will be stances that will be organized tomorrow in several Moroccan cities to emphasize that Moroccans stand side by side with the Palestinian people.

Yesterday, Saturday, Moroccans took a stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people in front of the parliament building in the capital Rabat, and during the stand called by the Moroccan Initiative for Support and Victory, the protesters called for an end to the assault on the Palestinians, and raised slogans including "Morocco and Palestine are one people, not two peoples," criticizing international silence. And Arab.

Similar demonstrations took place on the same day in Tangiers and Khouribga.

There are also calls for a national march around Rabat next Sunday in solidarity with the Palestinian people.

Since last Monday, Israel has launched an aggression with aircraft and artillery against the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, resulting in the death of more than 200 people, including children and women, in addition to hundreds of wounded and tens of thousands of displaced persons.

Since April 13, the situation in the Palestinian territories has exploded as a result of brutal attacks committed by the Israeli occupation police and settlers in Jerusalem, the Al-Aqsa Mosque and its environs, and the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood, following Israeli efforts to evacuate 12 Palestinian families and hand them over to settlers.
