"The goal of the Spring Storm is to complete the training of conscripts and send as well-trained units as possible, as in previous years," the press service of the Estonian Defense Forces headquarters quotes the organizer of the exercises, Lieutenant Colonel Erkki Roosnurm.
On May 8, US and British troops landed in Estonia as part of the largest continental exercise in the last 25 years, Defender Europe 2021.
Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said Russia is closely monitoring the transfer and deployment of NATO forces in Europe during the Defender Europe exercise.
