May 17, 2021 In Yekaterinburg, a man armed with a knife attacked passersby in the park near the train station in the morning, killing three people.
This was reported by the newspaper E1.ru, taken up by Meduza.
The scene was isolated from police officers and members of the National Guard.
According to eyewitnesses, gunshots were heard in the area.
The assailant was arrested but tried to attack the security forces and was wounded.
It seems that at the origin there is a dispute over alcohol, according to police sources, who have confirmed the death of the three victims and the arrest of the attacker.
"A man attacked his acquaintances following an argument after they ran out of alcohol, three people suffered fatal injuries," sources told Interfax agency.
The attacker was hospitalized.
