Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu defended the bombing of his own troops that destroyed a building in Gaza, Palestine, which had been used by foreign media such as the Associated Press as offices.

Prime Minister Netanyahu said in a local time yesterday (16th) in an interview with the US CBS Broadcast's'Face the Nation' program, "The building was home to an intelligence agency of a Palestinian terrorist organization. Therefore, the building was a perfectly legitimate target of attack." Insisted.

Prime Minister Netanyahu added that information about yesterday's bombing of the building had been shared with US authorities.

Earlier, the Israeli Daily Jerusalem Post reported that, citing sources from Israeli Foreign Minister Gabi Ashkenaji, it provided conclusive evidence to the United States that the Hamas forces were active in the building.

The source said, "We have given the United States clear evidence that Hamas was active in the building," he said. "I know they are happy with the explanation."

In addition, officials from one or more Israeli government departments confirmed that the demolition of the building in question was discussed in a phone call between US President Biden and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

The newspaper said the United States is the only country that has asked Israel to explain the matter.

Earlier, on the 15th, Israel bombed and destroyed the Jala Tower in Gaza, where the Associated Press, Al Jazeera Broadcasting, and other broadcasters moved in.

The Associated Press has been in this building for 15 years.

Brigadier General Hidai Gilberman, a spokesman for the Israeli army, claimed that "there is the office of Hamas' R&D organization, military intelligence organization, and armed group Islamic Gyhad," but did not provide evidence requested by the AP.

In an interview with CBS, Prime Minister Netanyahu said, "We will use whatever means to restore order," and predicted that "it will not take too long."

Prime Minister Netanyahu said, "The reason civilian victims appear in the course of the bombing of Gaza is because Hamas attacks Israel near civilian settlements."

Israeli retaliatory raids on the 7th day for Hamas' preemptive rocket attack on the 10th have resulted in 188 deaths in Gaza.
