Augsburg (AP) - Frank Baumann has avoided a clear commitment to Florian Kohfeldt before the Werder Bremen season finale in the relegation battle of the Bundesliga.
After the 2-0 draw at FC Augsburg, the managing director initially left it open as to whether the coach would still be sitting in the coaching bench against Borussia Mönchengladbach on Saturday (3:30 p.m. / Sky) on the last day of the match.
“We have a brutally big disappointment, so I don't want to make any clear statements,” said Baumann in the ZDF “sports studio” late on Saturday evening.
He wants to coordinate with his colleagues and the supervisory board first.
"We have to let the disappointment sink in first," said Baumann of the "Deichstube".
The sports director has not yet had time to exchange ideas with the other responsible persons.
