Uppsala in the vaccination top: "Looks bright"

Now everyone 50 years or older has been summoned for vaccination in Uppsala County.

According to statistics from the Swedish Public Health Agency, Uppsala has been at the top in the country when it comes to vaccination coverage for all people 65 years and older per region.

- It is a constantly written message from the Public Health Agency, but it looks bright for the vaccine deliveries and forecasts, says Erik Sköldenberg, chief physician at the Uppsala Region.

According to Erik Sköldenberg, the fact that Uppsala County is at the top of vaccinations may be due to two factors.

- We are quite convinced that it is because we have called all people with pre-booked times and very close cooperation with the municipalities where we have reached everyone in home care and in special housing.
