It was in May 2016 that the police searched the man's house after obtaining an IP address that could be suspected of handling child pornography.

- The police were able to find a couple of computers, hard drives and CDs.

Violence and coercion

After the police went through the material, the number was summed up to just over 270,000 child pornographic images and almost 6,700 films.

According to the indictment, it is precisely the large number of pictures and the fact that the children were young and exposed to violence or coercion that means that the crime should be considered serious.

How come it takes almost five years for the man to be prosecuted?

- It's a question of resources.

The police's child pornography reviewer says that they have extremely much to do and this is a case in the crowd.

But of course you can think that it should take less than five years before prosecution, says Thomas Bergström.

Denies crime

The man denies the crime and has said that the material is not his, the prosecutor states.

The trial is expected to take place this autumn.
