16 May 2021 At Le Mans in the premier class the Australian Miller on Ducati wins ahead of the other 'red' of French Zarco and Quartararo's Yamaha.

At the foot of the podium the other Ducati of Pecco Bagnaia.

Quartararo's Yamaha Petronas and Maverick Vinales' official one start from the front row, immediately after Miller's Ducati.

Miller immediately leading the race ahead of Vinales and Quartararo, not excellent at the start. Franco Morbidelli involved in the tussle at the center of the group slips into the scree but without consequences. On the fourth lap it begins to rain and it is a white flag. From the box they authorize the flag to flag for the bike change. Exchange of positions between Miller and Quartararo, authors of a great battle. The two Suzuki riders Mir and Rins fall while Marc Marquez is unleashed. Penalty for Miller and Bagnaia for speeding in the pit lane. Marquez demands too much and falls at the last corner of the ninth lap while he was in the lead, Quartararo becomes the leader.

The two Aprilia of Savadori and Aleix Espargaro are also out of action, while Marquez tries to catch up but on lap 19 he falls again and gives up. Meanwhile, Zarco's ascent begins and his Ducati approaches Quartararo and switches him off. The Ducatis of Petrucci and Bagnaia are also approaching, but Miller increases the advantage more and more. Bagnaia tries an aggressive comeback but fails to steal the podium place in Quartararo.

Second consecutive success for the Australian from Ducati. Fifth was an excellent Danilo Petrucci (Ktm), eleventh place for Valentino Rossi on Yamaha Petronas. With these placings Quartararo returns to the top of the World Championship with 80 points, one more than Bagnaia who precedes Zarco and Miller with 68 and 64 points respectively.
