Bad Sobernheim (dpa / lrs) - When a small plane crashed near Bad Sobernheim in the Bad Kreuznach district, two people were seriously injured.
According to the first findings of the police, the machine took off from a small airfield on Saturday shortly before the accident.
There may have been problems with the engine, said a spokesman.
Further details were not known at first.
Two rescue helicopters were used to take care of the injured.
The Federal Bureau of Aircraft Accident Investigations was called in to clarify the exact cause.
