The Sharjah Police Operations Room and Call Center received 21,219 phone calls, at the emirate’s level, during the blessed Eid al-Fitr holiday (from 11 to 14 May this year), of which 18,677 calls were made via the number (999) designated for emergency cases, while 2542 calls were received. Not urgent to the number (901), which included general inquiries, and police services provided.

The Director of Sharjah Police Operations Department, Colonel Jassim bin Hadda Al Suwaidi, indicated that all incoming calls, reports and inquiries were dealt with expeditiously after being evaluated by the first responder with the aim of ensuring the speedy transition to the report site, in coordination with other police departments within the scope of reducing response time.
