In the context, the Israeli police warned that it is preparing for an important night in the city of Lod, in reference to the expected protests and confrontations with the Arab residents of the city to protest the events in their city from the Israeli forces and the herds of settlers, who burned many Arab-owned cars and attacked homes in the city. In Sakhnin, in the Galilee (north), thousands demonstrated this afternoon to denounce the occupation’s attacks on Palestinians and criminal practices by settlers, and to commemorate the 73rd Palestinian Nakba.

The demonstrators gathered before the march began in front of the Al-Nour Mosque in the center of Sakhnin.

The Arab towns have been witnessing for days an escalation of protests, denouncing the arrests, aggression and protection of the settlers, who target Arabs.

Yesterday, unidentified persons burned 3 passenger buses belonging to the Israeli bus company "Egged" in the city of Shefaram in the Western Galilee.

Al-Jazeera correspondent, Walid Al-Omari, said that the police announced - in a statement - that young men had attacked the garage in which the buses were standing, and burned them, and that they had sent forces to the place.

Activists also circulated a video clip showing the car of a member of the Israeli Knesset, Efrat Reitin Marom, set on fire after midnight yesterday while it was standing in front of a building in the city of Jaffa, and no party has claimed responsibility for the operation.

Two Palestinian children were seriously injured in an attack by Israeli extremists with Molotov cocktails on a house in the Ajami neighborhood of Jaffa.

This attack comes while Israeli extremists - especially those coming from settlements in the West Bank - continue to attack the properties of Palestinian citizens in mixed cities such as Haifa, Jaffa, Ramleh, and Lod, under the full protection of the Israeli police.

Mass arrests

In the context, Al-Jazeera correspondent reported that the occupation forces arrested 15 Palestinians in the city of Lod within the Green Line at dawn on Saturday.

The Israeli police forces stormed the house of a Palestinian family inside the city and attacked them, and the videos showed that the police beat the Hefnawi family and arrested some of them, amid a state of panic that struck the children.

The city of Lod witnessed attacks carried out by settlers against the Palestinians of the interior yesterday, without the police responding to the distress calls made by the Palestinian families.

According to Arab sources inside the Green Line, 52 people were arrested yesterday in Acre, following the confrontations and events taking place in the city, noting that a theater building in the city was set on fire.

The Israeli Internal Security Agency (Shin Bet) forces, backed by forces from border guards and police, are carrying out arrest campaigns targeting about 500 Palestinian activists, journalists and politicians inside the Green Line areas.
