This competition is one of the ongoing activities of the 2021 National Taiwan Federation of Cross-Strait Youth Sports Culture (Chongqing) Expansion Research Camp.

On that day, 19 Taiwanese youths and 25 young enthusiasts from the Qijiang Local Badminton Association formed 22 mixed doubles teams.

After getting acquainted and practiced with each other in the morning, the knockout match started in the afternoon.

At 13:00, the first group of participating partners entered from both sides of the stadium and shook hands with their opponents in four venues.

After the game started, the numbers on the scoreboard changed rapidly.

There are not only sports enthusiasts, but also professional badminton coaches among the young people participating in this competition. The game is very exciting.

But compared to the usual sports competitions, the scene was more joyful than nervous.

In the 4th arena, Tian Yu from Qijiang played a beautiful and cruel ball. The young Taiwanese who watched the match immediately cheered: "One more sister!" The Taiwanese players who watched the match then also loudly encouraged the temporarily lost Taiwan partners and made up for it. In the last sentence, "Come on, friends from Qijiang!" In the Taiwanese accent, I heard the Chongqing dialect "Come on!" "You need it!"

"I told her that I would not fight, and she said she would not, obviously lying." Li Haoyun, a physiotherapist in Beijing, praised Qijiang's partner Tian Yu for being great.

Their tactics for this match were all designed by Tian Yu, but Li Haoyun regretted that he did not cooperate well enough.

Tian Yu modestly praised his partner for his outstanding performance.

Taiwanese youth Chen Haoyuan and Qijiang partner Wang Yaoqin failed in the group match and sat in the audience area to chat and rest.

The result of the game was unsatisfactory, and the two people laughed constantly on and off the court.

Chen Haoyuan said that the most important thing for today's event is to make friends.

Wang Yaoqin said that the whole process was very relaxed, there was no pressure in the competition, and she also praised her partner for a good mentality, and always praised her for playing well in the competition.

They failed to advance, but they all joked that they "graduated" smoothly.

The partners who were not in the stadium did not stay in the audience area.

After a short break, they either came to the arena to take pictures, or returned to the sidelines to watch the next game.

After nearly three hours of competition, the game entered the semi-final stage.

The unqualified players gathered around the two semi-finals.

The rapid rise and fall of the two badmintons elicited sudden ups and downs in exclamation and applause.

"Pretty!" "Good shot!" Amidst such applause, a Taiwanese youth couldn't help saying: "It's just an exchange game, it's so exciting!"

The championship was finally won by a combination of Taiwanese teacher Zeng Yuanzheng and Qijiang Senior High School student Duan Xinyuan of Huaqiao University Sports College.

Zeng Yuanzheng told reporters that after retiring from the badminton club, his love for badminton has not diminished and he has been doing related promotion work.

This time I had the opportunity to compete with fans from mainland China and share experience. It was a sense of accomplishment.

"It's nice to win the championship with you." He said to his partner in Hokkien.

Duan Xinyuan said in Chongqing dialect: "I am very happy to have the opportunity to partner with professional players and learn a lot." (End)
