Warendorf (dpa / lnw) - Two men fled a police check in their cars in Beckum in the Warendorf district - and then built accidents independently of each other.
As the police announced, the two had initially met a patrol on Saturday night.
When the officers turned around to check the two vehicles, the drivers sped out of town.
A little later the police found both cars.
One had left the road just before a bridge and landed in the ditch.
The three inmates escaped on foot, but didn't get very far.
As it turned out, the 20 year old driver did not have a driver's license.
A 22-year-old passenger was slightly injured in the accident, it was said.
The other car was discovered on a federal highway, where it had drifted off the road in a long curve and overturned to the side.
The 18-year-old novice driver suffered minor injuries and was rushed to hospital.
