"Today, the Ukrainian government takes an openly hostile position towards Russia, and suppresses any dissent with repression and intimidation, so what should we call them partners now?"

- said the parliamentarian.

Speaking about the possible harsh measures and aggressive responses from Russia, which Klimkin mentioned, Balbek pointed out that official Kiev has been scaring the whole world with them for the past few years.

“Former Minister Klimkin once again decided to show himself as a“ powerful analyst ”... With all the tension in our relations with Ukraine, we would be glad if official Kiev indicated its readiness for dialogue.

We have something to talk about, and in this conversation we could remove those problems that have not been resolved for seven years.

All that is needed is the goodwill of Ukrainian politicians, ”the deputy concluded.

Earlier, Klimkin spoke about the statement by Russian leader Vladimir Putin that Ukraine is gradually being turned into the “antipode” of Russia.

As noted by the former head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, Putin had never used such formulations in relation to Ukraine.

On May 14, Putin, at a meeting with members of the Security Council, said that Ukraine was being turned into an "anti-Russia", from where one can constantly expect news that requires special attention from the point of view of ensuring Russian security.
