Rostock (dpa) - Third division soccer team FC Hansa Rostock is about to move up to the second division - and wants to celebrate the possible return on Whit Saturday with 7500 fans in the Ostseestadion.

The club, the Hanseatic city and the police had presented a common concept for a game with spectators, reported the "Ostsee-Zeitung" (Saturday).

"Yes, the talks about a season finale in front of fans are underway," said Interior Minister Torsten Renz (CDU) of the newspaper and said: "I would appreciate it if we succeed in implementing it."

At the last home game of the season on May 22nd (1.30 p.m.) against VfB Lübeck, spectators should be able to attend. Corresponding plans have now been confirmed by both the Hanseatic city and the state government, wrote the "Ostsee-Zeitung". The initiative to get the fans into the stadium is said to have come from the Ministry of the Interior. Condition: Every viewer who is allowed to take part in the possible promotion break must be tested beforehand and must also register.

Rostock's Lord Mayor Claus Ruhe Madsen said: “When Hansa rises, there is a party.

We now have a choice: do we want many small, diffuse parties or one big one with clear rules?

I'm in the stadium for the big celebration.

That means significantly less risk. "

Both the police and the health department would see it the same way, said the politician.

As a corona manager, the non-party mayor caused a stir across Germany with unconventional methods.

The seven-day incidence, i.e. the number of people who were infected with corona per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days, was 49.7 on Friday in Rostock.
