Marie-Caroline Le Pen, older sister of Marine Le Pen, will be a candidate for the RN in the regional elections in Ile-de-France, we learned on Friday from number 2 of the National Rally Jordan Bardella, confirming information from Figaro .

Ms. Le Pen will be second on the RN list of Hauts-de-Seine, confirmed Mr. Bardella, head of the party's list in Ile-de-France.

He was credited with 17% in the first round in a recent Ipsos poll, against 34% to ex-LR candidate Valérie Pécresse and 12% to Audrey Pulvar (Ile-de-France in common, supported by the PS).

Marie-Caroline Le Pen, 61, returned in the 2000s to the FN (now RN) after dissident, made her political comeback last year in Calais on the RN municipal list, which finally obtained 17, 9% of the votes behind the list of outgoing mayor LR Natacha Bouchart (50.2%).

Elected regional councilor in the 1992 elections on the FN list in Hauts-de-Seine, she was re-elected in 1998.

Politics, we come back to it "like cycling", explained in 2020 the eldest of the three Le Pen daughters, who joined the National Front at a very young age.

She then fell out in 1998 with the family clan by rallying, with her husband, the MNR (National Republican Movement) of Bruno Mégret, from which she resigned in 2000.

Marine Le Pen had publicly declared, in 2011, to have "totally forgiven" her sister, who had returned to the FN in 2016.
