According to the Portuguese government quoted by Agence France-Presse on May 15, the Portuguese Ministry of Interior stated that after several months of restrictions have been implemented to prevent the spread of the new crown pneumonia epidemic, Portugal will resume admission from most European countries on Monday (May 17). However, these European countries need to meet the condition that the rate of infection with the new crown virus is no more than 500 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

These travelers from eligible countries can make all types of visits to Portugal, including unnecessary visits.
