Klimkin appreciated the words of Putin about the transformation of Ukraine into the "antipode" of Russia

"Putin's words today about us as 'anti-Russia' should not be underestimated ... Putin speaks of us as a constant source of problems for Russia and its antipode," Klimkin wrote on Facebook.

The ex-head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry noted that Putin had not previously used such formulations in relation to Ukraine.

"The Kremlin's response will be asymmetrical and very harsh," he warned.
