According to press reports in Spain, French coach Zinedine Zidane has made a decision about his future with Real Madrid, and he will announce it in the coming days after the end of the Spanish Football League matches.

The two newspapers explained that Zidane feels physically and mentally drained after a difficult season in which Real Madrid has faced many crises and may end without winning any title.

Zidane refuses to talk about his future, and prefers - in all his press conferences - to emphasize that he is only interested in the next match for his team, and he said - earlier - that he does not care about the issue of his contract with the team;

Because he may continue for many years after the end of his current contract, or he may decide to leave before the end of his contract.

The ambiguity about Zidane's future increased in the recent period, especially after he was targeted with reports confirming the Royal Club’s efforts to sign a successor to him, which prompted him to come out with strong statements in a previous press conference calling for the group he leads to be given the respect it deserves and the lack of cruelty to the team that crowned last season. Real Madrid were knocked out early from the King's Cup and left the Champions League in the semi-finals after the defeat by Chelsea, and the team's matters got complicated in retaining its title in the league, two points behind leaders Atlético Madrid, two phases from the end of the season.

Zidane left Real Madrid before the end of his contract in 2018 after crowning the Champions League for the third time in a row, and he returned to the Royal Club in March 2019 with a contract extending to 2022, with an annual salary of 13.5 million euros.

The reports did not mention Zidane's future plan, and confirmed that he had not yet agreed with any team, but previous reports suggested that he would move to the Italian club Juventus, or lead the French national team after the end of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

In the event of Zidane's departure, Italian Massimiliano Alegre will be the most prominent candidate to succeed him, in addition to former striker Raul, who is currently leading the reserve team.
