Düsseldorf (dpa / lnw) - The so-called seven-day incidence fell in North Rhine-Westphalia on Saturday for the first time in almost two months to 92.4 below the value of 100.

This is based on figures from the Robert Koch Institute (RKI).

On Friday, the number that indicates the number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days was 103.4.

The last time the NRW average was below the threshold of 100, which is decisive for the federal emergency brake, was 99.6 on March 22nd.

In 33 of the 53 districts and urban districts, the seven-day incidence has now fallen below this value, which allows outdoor restaurants to be opened after several days, among other things.

Only Hagen (201.9) and Leverkusen (174.1) are above the value of 165, from which there may be no face-to-face teaching in schools.

Münster continued to have the lowest value on Saturday at 28.5.

According to the data, 1685 new infections were reported in NRW within one day.

On Saturday last week there were 3534 new infections.

The number of deaths related to the coronavirus rose by 32 to 16,222.
