Siegen (dpa / lnw) - The state election meeting of the AfD began in Siegen on Saturday.
According to the police, around 250 people demonstrated against the event near the Siegerlandhalle, where around 500 delegates meet.
The AfD wants to start the election of candidates for the state list for the federal election in autumn from this weekend.
The list determines the order in which the party sends MPs from North Rhine-Westphalia to the German Bundestag.
A total of 522 delegates from the district associations want to meet on May 15 and 16 and on May 22 and 23 in the Siegerlandhalle.
According to the police, the demo against the AfD initially went without incident.
According to a spokesman, there were around 250 participants at the peak.
In the late morning it was already significantly less.
The demonstration was registered until 12 p.m.
