Berlin / Wiesbaden (dpa / lrs) - In Saarland, another 42 corona infections were detected within one day.
The total number since the beginning of the pandemic rose to 39,460 according to the figures from the Berlin Robert Koch Institute (as of Saturday 3:10 am). The seven-day incidence (number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants) in Saarland fell to 90.5 .
The federal emergency brake for an incidence over 100 applies at the level of the districts and urban districts.
In Saarland, only the Saarlouis district is currently above this value.
Three more deaths in connection with the corona virus were registered in Saarland.
According to the RKI counting method, the nationwide number rose to 977.
As of Friday (May 14th / 12.15pm), 68 Covid-19 patients were being treated in intensive care in Saarland, around half had to be invasively ventilated.
A total of 421 of the 486 currently available intensive care beds in Saarland were occupied, the vast majority of them with patients with other diseases.
