Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) - Even if the corona infection numbers do not yet allow museum visits directly everywhere, people in Baden-Württemberg can at least go to the museum virtually on Sunday (May 16).

For International Museum Day, many houses are offering digital services that can be used to bring culture comfortably into your home.

Numerous tours of the exhibition can be completed online, as the Baden-Württemberg Museum Association announced on Friday.

The program also includes games such as a digital scavenger hunt in the Staatsgalerie Stuttgart or an escape game in the Museum of City History in Freiburg.

Car fans can expect a drone flight via YouTube through the Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart.

In circles with comparatively low numbers of infections, visitors are also allowed to view exhibitions on site.

To do this, the incidence must be below 100 for five consecutive days.

This applies, for example, to Heidelberg, where the Kurpfälzisches Museum, for example, offers free entry.

Visiting the municipal museums in Freiburg is free on Sundays too.

According to the association, a total of 200 museums are taking part in analogue and digital form on the 44th Museum Day, which is intended to highlight the thematic diversity of the museums.
