Bodenfelde (dpa / lni) - Pipes on a 300-year-old church organ in Bodenfelde on the Weser were partly damaged and partly stolen.

The instrument must be extensively restored, said the police in the Northeim district on Friday.

The damage amounts to around 10,000 euros.

The act probably occurred between the beginning of March and Easter in the church in the Wahmbeck district.

The church is open to visitors during the day.

The lead was pressed in on ten organ pipes so that the organ was out of tune.

According to the information, two pipes were stolen.
