Burgbernheim (dpa / lby) - The major fire in a manufacturing company for wooden houses in Burgbernheim in Middle Franconia (Neustadt an der Aisch-Bad Windsheim district) was probably caused by a technical defect.

The police said on Friday that fire investigators had come to this conclusion.

There are no indications of arson.

According to police estimates, the fire on Thursday caused damage of three to four million euros.

The extinguishing work continued until late Thursday evening, there were many embers.

The fire broke out in the morning in the factory hall of the company that, according to the police, manufactures prefabricated houses.
