Regensburg (dpa / lby) - After the disappointing 3-2 defeat in Kiel, SSV Jahn Regensburg wants to finally fix the class in a direct relegation duel at SV Sandhausen.

The Upper Palatinate second division soccer team still has the best chance of being rescued with a four-point lead.

Coach Mersad Selimbegovic, however, distrusts the weak phases of the competition in the table cellar.

"I'm not completely reassured," he said on Friday.

"I don't want to rely on anything and have to ask on the last day of the game how the others played."

With a success in Sandhausen on Sunday (3.30 p.m. / Sky), the league is perfect for Jahn.

The Regensburg team have been chasing after the decisive three points for a long time - only one point jumped out in the last five games.

At 2: 3 on Thursday evening at Holstein Kiel, the guests had achieved the 2: 1 lead in the 75th minute, but then allowed themselves to be duped in a wild final.

"That was an annoying defeat, an unnecessary defeat," said Selimbegovic.

Kiel is about to rise - Sandhausen is fighting for the class at the other end of the table.

The Jahn trainer predicted that the task would not be any easier.

"Sandhausen is a team that is fighting for bare survival and is very strong at home."
