Cottbus / Potsdam (dpa / bb) - Up to 16 districts and independent cities in Brandenburg can hope for the regional Corona opening of restaurants and campsites on the Friday before Pentecost.

The number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants in a week was only in Cottbus with around 103 and the Elbe-Elster district with around 130 over the value of 100, as the Ministry of Health in Potsdam announced on Friday.

If the value is stable below 100, you can visit outdoor restaurants with a negative test and appointment, outdoor concerts and theater with a negative test and up to 100 people, as well as overnight stays in holiday apartments, campsites and charter boats from May 21st.

The nationwide seven-day incidence fell again from around 76 to a good 72. The value must be below 100 on five working days in a row, then easing in a district or an urban district is possible on the day after next.

For openings from the Friday before Pentecost (May 21), the value must therefore be

below 100

one week before - on

May 14 - and must not exceed it.

It was unclear whether this applies to all 16 municipalities.

Potsdam only slipped below this mark on Friday to 86, Oberspreewald-Lausitz to 96. In some districts the seven-day incidence was below 100, but rose slightly, as in Frankfurt (Oder), from just under 80 to 81.4.

Within one day, 264 new corona cases were added nationwide;

on Thursday it was 412 and a week ago it was 388.
