Berlin / Wiesbaden (dpa / lhe) - 1015 new corona cases were registered in Hesse within one day.
The incidence fell again and was nationwide at 109.0 after 114.2 the previous day, according to data from the Robert Koch Institute in Berlin on Friday (as of 3:10 a.m.).
Six other infected patients died.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, 7,106 deaths in connection with Covid-19 and a total of 277 815 infections have been counted in the state.
The highest incidence, i.e. the number of new infections within the past seven days per 100,000 inhabitants, was found in the district of Fulda in a comparison of the regions with 163.6, followed by the city of Kassel with 154.8 and the district of Hersfeld-Rotenburg with 153, 2.
According to the Divi intensive care register, 376 people in Hesse were in intensive care units because of Covid-19 on Friday (as of 6:19 a.m.), 197 of them had to be ventilated.
1706 of the intensive care beds currently available in 1932 are occupied, according to Divi, including patients with other diseases.
