Veldenz (dpa / lrs) - A 56-year-old was run over by a tractor in Veldenz (Bernkastel-Wittlich district) on Friday and was seriously injured.
According to a witness, the man was standing between the axles of the tractor when he started it, the police said.
He apparently overlooked the fact that a gear was engaged and the handbrake was not on.
The 56-year-old fell and was run over by the rear wheel.
He was flown to a clinic in a rescue helicopter.
