Freiburg (AP) - Joachim Löw will watch FC Bayern Munich's guest appearance at SC Freiburg in the stadium on the last Bundesliga matchday before his EM squad is nominated.
This gives the national coach a final opportunity to assess return candidate Thomas Müller on Saturday (3.30 p.m. / Sky).
Next Wednesday (12.30 p.m.) Löw will name his 26 players for the European Football Championship this summer.
Most recently, the signs of a comeback by Bayern professional Müller in the DFB jersey had increased after more than two years.
Löw had eliminated the 100-time national player from the DFB team in March 2019 together with Mats Hummels and Jérôme Boateng.
On Thursday evening, in the ARD interview during the half-time break of the cup final between Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig (4: 1), Löw did not allow himself to be pressured to make a statement.
"Actually, I am always on the phone at the moment, that helps, with all kinds of people," said the 61-year-old.
The «Bild» newspaper recently reported that Löw should have signaled Müller (31) on the phone that he wanted to bring him back to the national team.

"We checked everything that was possible and analyzed it again," said Löw on Thursday evening.
Hummels and his BVB colleague Marco Reus, who have not been considered since October 2019, are also still hoping for an EM nomination.
