Hiroshi Yamamura, chief of staff of the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force, said at a press conference on the 11th that “I hope to improve the tactical skills of island defense and strengthen cooperation with the United States, Australia and France.” In the afternoon, the four-nation forces gathered in Sangura for a launch ceremony.

Hua Chunying responded sharply

The "Nihon Keizai Shimbun" article pointed out that France's participation in exercises in Japan would be an "unusual military signal" for China and neighboring countries.

Japan’s Kyodo News Agency stated that “Japan and the United States have strengthened their checks and balances with China around the situation in China’s Diaoyu Islands and Taiwan.” European countries have also stepped up their “vigilance towards China” and are expected to start sending troops to Japan’s surrounding areas.

The report also stated that Australia's participation in the "siege network" formed by Japan, the United States and Europe is intended to curb "China's maritime activities."

For this joint training, on May 13th, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying responded sharply.

She said that the four countries conducted joint military exercises, and they also said that they were "pressing China."

Can they scare China by doing so?

Hua Chunying pointed out, “These four countries are historically aggressive. They don’t reflect on themselves well, and they don’t make good use of their power to contribute to world and regional peace and development. Instead, they always talk about China. , Looking for an excuse to strengthen its own military operations, what do you intend to do?"

"Whether these countries are engaged in so-called joint military exercises or exercises, frankly speaking, they have no impact on China at all, and it is nothing more than burning more of their oil," said Hua Chunying.

I hope that they will spend more time, energy and resources on caring for the interests of their own people, and make more contributions to their current domestic anti-epidemic cooperation and international anti-epidemic cooperation.
