Potsdam (dpa / bb) - Brandenburg's CDU parliamentary group leader Jan Redmann urges hotels to be opened in June.

The seven-day incidence of new corona infections is falling sharply, he wrote on Friday on the short message service Twitter.

«Camping sites and holiday apartments will open next week.

If the trend continues, hotels should start up again in the first half of June. ”

However, this should only be possible with mandatory testing and a hygiene concept, emphasized Redmann.

"The industry urgently needs a perspective."

Starting Friday before Pentecost (May 21st), Brandenburg residents can return to outdoor restaurants with a negative test and an appointment if the value of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants in one week in the respective district or urban district is stable at below 100.

Then tourist overnight stays in holiday apartments, on campsites and in charter boats are also possible under certain conditions, but not yet in hotels.

The German Hotel and Restaurant Association of Brandenburg is calling for hotels to be relaxed as quickly as possible.
